Process

Put on your hard hat as we roll up our sleeves and the fun really begins!  There are few things as exciting as seeing a project we’ve worked together to design actually being built!  As our team breathes life into your home or office building, we want your project to be built just as you envision -- or maybe even better!  The building process will go like this:

• Permits

  Apply for all permits required for the project.

• Project Schedule

  We constantly review the project schedule, making sure everyone’s on their toes and ready to roll.

• Project Management

  You will be assigned a project manager that will oversee the project from beginning to end. This is the person with whom you will be having most of your “on site” conversations. The project manager will be there for you every step of the construction phase.

• Architect Site Visits

  You can be assured that your project is built right since the architect who designed it will check up on it regularly. We will schedule periodic site visits and will review job progress with you. When there are changes, as there often are, we will work with you as plans are modified as needed.

• Communication

  Is as key during the construction phase as in earlier phases of your project. Maintaining open communication is essential for the continued success of the project and we will promptly provide answers to questions and resolve any concerns that arise during construction. Open communication is helpful with managing expectations, as well. Often, as you begin to see the project evolve, you will have new ideas. We will continue to help and guide you as these new ideas present themselves.

• Project Completion

  This is the time for which we’ve all worked hard and waited. We’ve completed the final punch list; you’re very excited and all set to move in. We will show you all the new systems that we installed, how they work and give you the operation manuals and warranty information. (By the way, these manuals can be helpful if you have nights where you can’t sleep—they work almost as well as sleeping pills!) Once you move in, however, there may be little things that you find that we need to come back and adjust. Keep a list for three months or so and when you find that you are not adding any more items to the list, give us a call and we will come and take care of them all for you.
